School Life

The college is filled with a lot of warm-hearted people which they help you regardless of how busy they are. There is a library above the Reception, besides that there is a supermarket and a medical room inside Dorm Building No. 5. The college also provides free sport facilities like football field, basketball court, badminton court, table tennis table and a swimming pool. To get those equipments the students need to swap their room card for the balls and racquets. The stadium is open during 8:30-21:00, and the swimming pool is open during 12:30-20:30. Our dormitories are probably better than most universities in China due to its comfortable space as there are only two or four people in each room. Besides, each room is equiped with television, central heating and air-conditioning, shower. The dorm also provides public kitchen and purified water on the 2nd and 4th floor and laundry on the first floor. We also have a lot of considerate dormitory teachers who take care of the students. The dormitory closes at 11pm.

The dining hall offers a cheap but healthy menu. The prices are: 5 RMB in the morning and 10 RMB for both lunch and supper. The dining hours are: 7:30am – 8:30am (breakfast), 12:00am – 1:00pm (lunch) and 6:00pm – 7:00pm (supper).

Our school programs consist of Language Programs (long term) and Study Tour Programs (short term). Language Programs include degree programs for students who want a degree class, and degree programs for any foreign student or overseas Chinese who is interested in Chinese language and culture. For Language Programs students, the college provides regular trips to attractions in Beijing, such as the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Summer Palace etc., as well as end-of-term trips to other cities in China such as Harbin, Chengdu, etc. By visiting these places, students will have a better experience and understanding about the different cultures in China.

The college has different student associations, including the Volunteer Association of Admission Service, the Student Council, etc. Various student activities are often organized by the college and these associations, such as the Opening Ceremony and the Graduation Ceremony, calligraphy competition, pinyin competition and so on.
